As part of the expansion of our Procurement and Logistics Department, we are excited to announce an opportunity for a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our team in Tbilisi, Georgia. Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager, this role offers the chance to contribute to Knauf’s success while developing your career in a values-driven, inclusive, and collaborative environment. What you’ll be doing:
As a Junior Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement team and ensuring smooth operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supplier Management: Communicating with existing suppliers to maintain strong relationships and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Market Research: Identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers to expand the supplier base and ensure competitive pricing.
- Price Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing market trends to control costs and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Documentation: Preparing and managing procurement-related documents, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Logistics Coordination: Assisting with logistics and supply chain processes to ensure efficient delivery and inventory management.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams to understand procurement needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Professional Development: Actively learning and developing your skills within a team of experienced professionals to grow your career in procurement.
What we’d love for you to have:
We are interested in you as a person—your attitude, behaviors, and values. If you are eager to learn and grow in the role, we’d love to hear from you. While prior experience is not a strict requirement, having the following skills and qualifications would be an added advantage:
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in English and Russian (both written and spoken).
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work with documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a team of professionals.
- Ability to monitor pricing, evaluate supplier performance, and identify new suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering results.
